Family and Neighbors First
Cold snaps continue, so plan for slow travel and keep an eye on sidewalks and driveways that may refreeze overnight. The library and community center are warm daytime hangouts during normal hours. If you know a neighbor who could use a hand with snow shoveling or errands, consider organizing a small block crew to rotate help.
Get Involved Around Town
Volunteers are welcome this week at the market setup on Saturday morning at 7:30 am. Teens can earn service hours by helping with table setup and greeting. The parks department is also seeking winter trail monitors to report fallen branches or icy patches; pick up a simple checklist at the community center front desk.

Weather and Travel Notes
Expect a mix of light snow and freeze-thaw cycles. Give plows plenty of room, clear mailbox areas if you can, and keep hydrants visible. If sidewalks are icy, sprinkle sand or pet-safe melt and consider using trekking poles on longer walks.
Good to Know
The open gym rotation will add family shoot-around hours next week. The library is circulating snow-friendly activity kits for kids and caregivers. If you need a warm spot during the day, call ahead to confirm hours at the library or community center before heading out.
